Hi

 

I am new to this forum but not to aviation.

 

Recently retired as the Asst ARO YHML after seeing the upgrades of runways and lighting systems

 

and the transition to RNAV approaches, turning off the last symmetrical TVASIS in VIC/TAS which I maintained calibrated and flew until its demise...

 

Saw the last Ansett Friendship fly in and the first Metro with Kendall's and Sharp Airlines.'

 

Flying:

 

Abinitio at Warrnambool with Staywood Air in 1980

 

Bought a Reims Aerobat in 1981 and learned to fly it by June 1981

 

Bought an AVCON C150 with 160HP engine and learned to fly it IFR in 1987

 

Class Three, then Class One, then CIR/SEA

 

21 renewals and some interesting CASA signatures in my logbook.

 

Obtained Airman's Licence at Merill Field Anchorage AK and flew out of Palmer AK 1997-1999 on floats and skis in a Maule M7.

 

Obtained Canadian Recreational and flew out of Pittmeadows BC.

 

2004 got RAAUS with AIRWEGO Horsham in TECNAM 4850 with Johnsie.

 

2005 GA again with Hugh at Horsham.

 

2006 Flew a T tail Lance and upgrade to the first GA 430 WAAS fitted.

 

Bought a Cherokee 140 with 160 HP upgrade and learned to fly it IFR with Hugh again in 2008

 

PIFR SEA with multi FPAs's reviewed successfully in SHT with Nathan in 2010, 2012 and 2016.

 

ADSB upgraded $$$$$$$$$$$

 

70 this year and still flying the occasional Angel Flight.

 

Drop in for a cuppa HAC 124.2 anytime.

Thanks I am still learning, the ins and outs and limitations of ADSB.

 

You never stop learning to be sure..
