Who's seen Sully the movie?

Just came back from seeing the movie "Sully" and wondered who else has seen it, and what you thought?

 

Personally, I loved it. I thought Tom Hanks and the rest cast did a brilliant job and I may even go and see it again, which is something I can't recall ever doing before.

 

How the authorities tried to prove that he could have made it to two of the available airports was cruel, but i'll say no more.

 

Can thoroughly recommend seeing the movie.

Its a good movie not a documentary. They had to have a baddie and the NTSB investigators were made out to be villains. The investigators are not happy with how they are shown in the movie. US aviation investigators say they’re unfairly villainized in Clint Eastwood’s film “Sully”

Wouldn't be Clint Eastwood and Hollywood, if it didn't.

 

Oh, and I trust there was the regular amount of gunplay, and crazies with assault rifles included.

Just an aside,

 

The Mt Erebus crash in the antarctic, THEY (we know who there are) tried to blame the pilot for bad navigation, raided his home to take everything from there.

 

Even though the government Changed the flight map to remove a mistake that all pilots knew about, Without telling anyone.

Enjoyable and no glaring technical errors I noticed. If there is any truth at all about the conduct of the simulations, then the NTSB have nothing to shout about.

You'd be bored by it.

Those who've never really thought about their obligations to their passengers, and sliding the pieces of cheese around to cover the holes won't be though.

Well the Titanic story was a bit like that too, but they made a pretty decent movie about it.

Aside from the movie, bit disappointed with the whole incident.

 

I am always hearing about the Captain (Sully) but what about the FO Jeff Skiles, you never hear about him much.

 

It was not just Sully flying that aircraft !!

 

Also the cabin crew was involved, seems all we hear is Sully the hero !

For sure, it was a great TEAM effort Robbo, but that extra stripe seems to count a lot.

 

Frequently, there seems to be an underdog who lacks notable recognition, who's also a very important part of the overall equation.
