Trackley Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I know this was mentioned here just recently. But I am at wits end trying to find some green and yellow arc stickers to go onto my Savannah VG ASI. I have found 2 companys in America and Germany but want like $45 for postage of a 10 dollar sticker. What can I do. 1
DGL Fox Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Hi Trackley, I have recently fitted a new ASI to the Sportstar and I think...think there may be some spare stickers in the box....when I go the hangar on Saturday I will have a look, if I have some I will let you know, then just PM me your address and I will post them up in an envelope... Trackley Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Sweet David much appreciated. I will have my fingers crossed for you and me.
Deskpilot Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Was looking at my existing ASI a couple of days ago and I'm damned if I can see how to open it. Yeh, I know I shouldn't but...................I have my reasons.
cscotthendry Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Trackley: As an alternative, you can do what I did when I built my Nynja. I got some different coloured "hookup" wire and used a piece of stiff wire with different colored insulation and glued it around the ring of my ASI . 7 2 1 1 1

Mick Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I just got someone with a vinyl cutter to cut appropriate size rings of vinyl in the colours needed, then cut segments out of the rings to suit the markings on my VSI. Stick them either on the perimeter of the glass face or the bezel, whatever works best in your case.
spacesailor Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 What color should be below 36knts,isn't that the dangerous stall speed?. spacesailor
cscotthendry Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 As far as I'm aware, there is not a set color to use below the stall speed, but I think red might be appropriate.
Litespeed Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 For below stall speed- black would be appropriate if you could see the damn colour. Lets face it fly below stall speed and things can get very dark indeed
Blueadventures Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 What color should be below 36knts,isn't that the dangerous stall speed?.spacesailor No colour just the black instrument face. Can include a blue line being best rate of climb at MTOW at Sealevel.
DGL Fox Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Trackley, Sorry mate I looked in the box today and there were no spare ones, maybe Scott's idea is worth trying, hope you get it sorted mate.. David

Blueadventures Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Hi Trackley This is the spruce decals on my ASI. The white section goes down first and then you cut the green in half and put onto the white. Cheers Mike 1 1
Geoff13 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Mine just has the Bezel painted in the correct colours.
DGL Fox Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Yes now that I have a look at my old ASI it seems it has been painted with a nail polish bush in the correct colours of course, maybe got the chemist and get the right colours in nail polish... David 2
