Someone is going to build a manufacturing facility to resurrect an out-of-date aircraft. As much as I would like to see a viable aircraft manufacturing industry in Australia, somehow I think this proposal is pie in the sky.

Perhaps the Premier is under pressure to distract attention from his recent decision to export a heap of manufacturing jobs.

And you have to be careful that the NSW Government doesn't donate the land and give a payroll tax and rates holiday and then have the NSW Government property arm resume Wanervale Airport and flog it off to an unsolicited proposer at mates rates. I am sure the government would call that a win all around and a tribute to private enterprise for getting NSW moving again.
