I am a paraglider and powered paraglider pilot. I've recently moved to Katherine NT. My new job has me flying to some of the sites I work at. Maybe it's time for a bigger motor with some glass and metal around me so that I can fly myself to work. :) also I'm trying to find the Australian airspace overlay for Google Earth I had it on an old PC but can't find it to put it on my new PC. Anyone know where I can find it?

Welcome to the forum. I'm just a little further up the track from you, Hayes Creek way. The Top End is terrific country for flying over, whatever your choice of aircraft. If your looking to expand to other aircraft types I'm not sure what your training options would be in Katherine. Sometimes Top End Flying club runs a satellite operation down there, sometimes not.

Hi Alan, I actually was up your way a couple of weeks ago meeting a flying mate from Darwin halfway. We saw the WW2 runway on Google Earth and we were hoping to fly there but we found out that it is locked up and on private property :( ended up back at the WW2 strip near Pine Creek.

I thought I might not have many options about learning here. I not in a hurry.
