Nickelchook
I am a new member here but I have had my RA-Aus Pilot's Certificate for about 3 years (trained in a Jab 120 in WA). I have just recently purchased a pre-loved Bantam B22J. I am currently holidaying in beautiful QLD and looking forward to updating my BFR and combining it with a type conversion in the Bantam at Caboolture. Cheers Dave

Thanks Frank, I have friends in Cairns and Townsville so will certainly be in contact next time my wife and I visit beautiful Far Nth QLD. I'm also a keen motorcyclist so any ultralight such as the Bantam and Drifter parallels the "wind in your hair" sensation! Cheers Dave
Nickelchook
Welcome to the forum Nickelchook, you just have to tell us where that name came from .Alan. Thanks Alan. I work in the nickel mining industry in WA and also a member of the West Coast Eagles FC - 'nickelchook' is the nick name of the Wedge-Tail Eagle in the WA gold/nickel fields. I also have never had a problem using it as a username for email addresses when changing ISPs! Cheers Dave

Gave it away for many years due to life`s commitments, then recently, thanks to my neighbour, John Bennett, I got to have a couple of rides again, on two of his bikes! I still love to ride but enjoy flying the Drifter much more! Me with the red shirt. Cheers, Frank.
Nickelchook
As much as I also still love to ride, too many roos to dodge in our area - I've got a 10 yr old Honda Blackbird (last model produced!) but it's gotto go! Pics attached of my Bantam (orange) and the one I'm getting my type conversion at Caboolture this week.
Soleair
Welcome, Nickelchook. I sympathise with the roo/road problem. That's why I changed from sportsbikes to dirtbikes when I moved out here. Still miss riding the twisties on a good road at unfeasibly high speed, though. Nice plane - bet you'll enjoy flying that! Bruce
