up-into-the-air Posted November 19, 2016 Author Posted November 19, 2016 they were very lucky to survive that. Yes, they were, but the Nurse Karen Casey was badly injured and #atsb, #casa, Truss and the Department [#mrdak] all have avoided her questions as an "...unknowing #aviation participant....". Karen has had her damages judgement appealed in the NSW Supreme Court to be heard next week. Maybe, CP, we should be working towards no fault #aviation insurance as it took eight years in the Lockhart River loss of 15 lives for the insurance payout.
turboplanner Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 There have been a lot of fuel exhaustion a since.
cooperplace Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 If a no fault insurance system shortens the time to an insurance payout, and simplifies the process, then I'm all for it. I have a great deal of sympathy for the nurse who puts her trust in the aviation system (and note I'm not blaming the pilot), then suffers an injury and is dragged through the courts for years. 1
