Oscar Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Not a Jabiru, so not of interest... despite the fact that it appears he did a damn good job of picking a soft spot. . Anybody have a clue to what it is? 1
storchy neil Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I would a a glance say flysynthesis Texan Neil
Oscar Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I reckon you've nailed it. So - not a Jab. engine, then...It looks in pretty good shape for the incident, kudos to Fly Synthesis?
Bazthebeaut Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 I went solo in that texan, very nice to fly. 1
Yenn Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 So why is it not of interest because it is not a Jabiru. Are you not interested in what can go wrong when you fly. Oh sorry you probably don't fly, just sit on the edges and snipe at others.
storchy neil Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Yen I let it go through to the keeper Like a lot never been in any other plane all off my BFRs have been in other planes that I don't fly Neil

When I read Oscar's post I noticed that it was two days since the original post and that no one else had commented. I took it, and agree with Oscar, that it is notworthy for nothing to have been said about this incident on this forum for two days. Had it been a Jabiru incident (engine or aircraft) we would be on about page five of comments by now! 2 4 1

Yenn Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Aha, I see it all now. Never looked at the timing. 1
alf jessup Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Aha, I see it all now. Never looked at the timing. Gotta have that timing right Yenn or things will get rough, or you will end up with advanced and retarded comments lol
Yenn Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Retarded is easy, not so sure about advanced. Too much advance could lead to detonation. Maybe that is the Muslim way. 1 1
Frankus1aust Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 looks like the prop was spinning at the time of impact?
