planedriver Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi Ichi. Welcome to the forums mate. Once you get that burning desire to fly, there's normally no antidode regardless of how ever long it takes you. I can't help you with regard to the guy at Navair, but as you've posted on this this site, I wonder whether you either have deep pockets for GA, or are also considering learning to fly under RAA, as opposed to a general aviation license. I personally gave up flying at Bankstown as the costs were prohibitive for me. Have you considered taking a drive to The Oaks past Camden? You might be pleasantly surprised at what you find. Dave's Flying Training, or Sydney Ultralight Club would be far easier on the pocket if you care to Google them and are prepared to drive a little further as they are a super friendly bunch. Kind regards Planey.
Ichi Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Thanks for the welcome I do want to fly My late father got a restricted licence at navair and i was there with him every step of the way until first solo I now fly paragliders and powered paramotor And i think next step is to learn on a real plane 2
Geoffrey Wood Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Learn to fly in a real plane. Some RAA aircraft give you far better hands on flying. Learn in RAA aircraft and a Cessna /piper is a piece of cake. You will find most RAA.schools every bit as professional and the syllabus as extensive as G.A. At least check out an RAA aircraft to form your opinion.
