fred cenko Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I wonder if the Raaus would allow a 19 class registration for this one
facthunter Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Have to be the exact opposite of what would be the appropriate power source. Low thrust engine, High drag plane. Doesn't make much sense. The fuel consumption/ Km would be horrendous. Nev
kasper Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 19 reg requires a propeller ... 95.10 does not

fred cenko Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 Would need to get that chute up in a hurry ,away from that bursting heat too.
facthunter Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I bob, the thrust figure would be pathetic. Unless a jet does speed (moves) there is no real power. W = FxS The big break through in Jets was the turbofan. High bypass engine. Nev
rolo_ford Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Doesn't matter how much thrust, once you reach takeoff speed you cannot go any faster, climb rate will change.
facthunter Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 That type of flying machine needs thrust= pull. Jets don't have it, especially a pure jet (without bypass) Draggy machines have a great capacity for absorbing power, if you try for speed when the design is not that way orientated. The geometry of a powered parachute (low thrust line) means the vehicle will climb if the thrust is large and I guess you could get into a bit of strife that way if you overdid it. Nev
BLA82 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 At least it would scare the wedge tails away lol 1
M61A1 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 19 reg requires a propeller ... 95.10 does not Put one on the dash...doesn't have to be a big one. Something about 2" diameter should do it.
