facthunter Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Impressive. I have to admit that this is probably the future. Structurally looks well done.Very sophisticated. I would like some roll-over protection.. This thing needs a well developed wankel rotary installed. Tandem seating is appropriate for a fast plane with a small output engine. Hmmmmm...... Nev.
Flyer Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Fantastic aircraft. It looks like it's going fast just sitting on the ground. Love it... Now of course you'll need a hand with testing this nice aircraft, I just thought I'd let you know I was available for cross country work. Yea yea, I know, tough job but somebody's gotta do it, might as well be me...;) Regards Phil
Towering Cu Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 G'day Ian, Fantastic looking aeroplane and great performance figures out of 100hp. Have you any idea what sort of speeds may be achievable from a fixed gear version? Regards, Mike.
Ultralights Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 i think i might start putting in some overtime, i have room in the garage for 3 aircraft!
Guest ptygmit Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Amazing looking plane. As mentioned above, reminds me of a BAE Hawk.
Admin Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 ptygmit - it does look like a hawk except can't have the jet engine so had to put the good old rotax somewhere Towering Cu - don't know what the figures will be with fixed gear but I do want to do some flying of it in Aussie to get true and accurate figures Flyer - I think you may have to wait in line neville - I'm glad you like it, proof will be when we can get to fly one ourselves IanR - it is reported at 450kg MTOW as that is the limit in Italy but it was structurally designed for 750kg - we will be limited to 600kg though
Guest palexxxx Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Ian, The Millennium Master is a beautiful plane. I want one, but there's one thing I'm wondering about. How did you convince the Italians to name it after Darren?
Guest Decca Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Easy Peter. Just add an "s" to Master & don't tell anyone! Regards, Decca.
Admin Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Airsick - it has been a bit quiet with the Master at the moment because in the top part of Italy where the Master is going through its testing is all covered in snow however I should receive the latest flight data next week. Just to let you know the extremely high standard of the company that is producing the Master here is some pictures of their factory and things they have done: A nice looking boat: Manufacturing: Their factory is high tech when it comes to every type of carbon fibre, kevlar and composite material: Mock up Machi M346 Fighter Trainer: EJ 200 AERONAUTICAL ENGINE CONTAINERS: Some other work they have done including this wave UFO: MOCK UP ALENIA SKY Y Realised in cooperation with CFM AIR ltd 2007: And offcourse the Millennium Master:
wanabigaplane Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Higher MTOW specs? With the MTOW of 450 KG the pilot can have a great ride, but what he wants to take a passenger ? Obviously the top speed would be less, and the stall speed would be higher. Could it be flown at a MTOW of 540 KG, and what would the specs be like then? Jack. :):)
skybum Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Watching Euro exchange rate. Ian, any more news on how things are going?
skybum Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I know the dream is bust for me. Any more news from Italy?
Deskpilot Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Just caught up with this thread again. Anyone know the latest on Darren, he seems to have abandoned us since his private life got messy (I'm not prying there). Is he still flying?
phvdw Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 test flights are possible in Italy, start of production there site is updated on 17 nov; new brochure vne is now something lower
Yenn Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Deskpilot. If you mean Darren Masters, I pm'd him a while ago to see if he was still with us and his reply was that he was sitting back and watching. I see he posted something about a month back. Hopefully he is still flying as are all the others at his home strip, but news is scarce from them.
skybum Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Millennium Master ULM Video - flyingWisi - MyVideo Keep coming back to this little baby....just wish I can win powerball...just once.
skybum Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Checking out the German site...for the basic aircraft works out at $228,900.00AU(ouch)
Jay Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Ian It has been a while - any new news on this phenomenal plane, nothing on their site?
Deskpilot Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Jay, a 'nice' plane indeed, but why "phenomenal"? That engine sound is bloody awful......to me. I do like the general design though. And then there's the price!!!!!!!! WOW.
Admin Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Not much good here in Australia at only MTOW 450kg as it currently is but as soon as Europe goes to 600kg then you WILL see them being available here starting with me
Jay Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Deskpilot It's all about the Top speed/Cruise/VNE/stall speed suite and aerobatic capable- unmatched with a Rotax antwhere . Probably only for the well heeled, but a pinacle achievement of engineering using research level design coulped with carbon fibre technology to achieve the result Reminds a bit of a Hawker Hurricane in looks Jay, dream on,all it needs is one Powerball
stanzahero Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Reminds a bit of a Hawker Hurricane in looks I didn't realize the Hurricane had a dihedral on the tail... Unless you mean a "REAL LITTLE BIT", or it was painted with roundels, your screen must be fuzzy, Jay. :)
