rhtrudder Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 just had a flash fuel filter fitted to my bt50 ute. wondered if it could be adapted to our aircraft , has the micron down to 2 separates any water and if detected shows a warning light, has its own internal pump, bit on the bulky side though.
Downunder Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 My opinion. Fuel injection filters are generally not suitable for carby engines and vice versa. 2 micron is REALLY fine....0.002mm WOW! 1

Was told our diesel fuel has traces of bitumen which hammers the common rail injectors which cost a fortune to replace so had this fitted in Bendigo, made in USA, don't know why it couldn't work on any engine
diesel Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 An aircraft in my shed has a diesel filter on the firewall for an 0200. Very servicable. Looks better by far than a Rans I helped after landing in trees. Yes water in the glass tanks and lines even though housed and drained every flight. Chas.
