It's been great learning the process.. much like a scaled up balsa model I made as a kid. I'm guessing styrofoam isn't strong/light enough for 1:1 scale.. 1

It's ok if you stick it to a thick enough layup of fibreglass. most composite aircraft have foam sandwich construction - but I guess it's usually not polystyrene foam but the principle is the same. 1
