fl240 Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 So my membership expired a week or two ago, no problems I thought I'll just renew it online before I go flying again. Trying to log on to my account now and it says I can't log in because memebrship has expired contact RAA, am I missing something?
rhysmcc Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 Call the office, once your membership expires you are no longer a member so makes sense you can't log into the members area 1
Happyflyer Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 https://www.raa.asn.au/storage/reactivation-membership-form-updated-20161110.pdf You could fill out the above form and fax or email to RAAus.
Downunder Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 Did I read somewhere you had a month after expiry to get it sorted? A bit too pre-emptive to cancel access straight up.....
fl240 Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 Appreciate the replies, filled in the reactivation form and faxed off so should be all good. It was 2 weeks over due so I thought I would have no problems doing it online, moral of the story do not let it lapse. 2
SDQDI Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I Can understand not allowing non current members access to the members area but surely it wouldn't be too hard to limit non financial members to a renewal page? 1
fly_tornado Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Locking people out of the account management side of the CRM is just due to a bit of cost cutting in the coding department, inexperience in deployment or the customer didn't request that function. 1
rrogerramjet Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I had same. They cut off access immediately you expire. As tornado says, they obviously didn't think the use cases through fully. Fly safe! Ramjet
rhysmcc Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Pretty sure once you owe RAA membership fees you no longer are a member under the new constitution.
facthunter Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I doubt you have a certificate that is valid or any insurance either if you are unfinancial. That's a fairly common thing. Car registration for example. Nev
kasper Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Pretty sure once you owe RAA membership fees you no longer are a member under the new constitution. 'Ish Membership ceases at the end of 30 days after membership fees are due. AND if you fall into 31 or later days your NEW membership requires more than a phone call as you must apply in writing. But that's only if they are following the requirements of the docs ... which I doubt. So really the best member solution to online renewals would have been to leave the member portal open for the 30 days (as younarevactually still a member) but put a big red overdue button link to online renewal. But as many people have noted actual use cases for the "boring" everyday aspects of the RAAus systems and the documentation requirements appears to have been overlooked. 1
Jabiru7252 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I wish the clowns would set things up so I could pay with my debit (not credit) card. Must be too hard for them.
Jayke Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Hey guys My 30 day trial is coming to an end, and I've done 3 hours....which, if I'm not wrong is the limit of the free trial?
