tillmanr Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Any one know what happened to the stock that was left when Camit shut down?
CJflyer Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Hi all, trying to find out who works on Camit engines in Qld, in the vicinity of Bundaberg. Cazza
Kyle Communications Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Someone down south bought most of the parts
440032 Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 Word back in April had it that Micro Aviation NZ might have acquired all the CAMiT tech............?? New Zealand certainly has the engineering capability to continue it on. 2
jetjr Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 I heard that too They havent acquired anything it seems but doesnt mean they cant produce parts
bexrbetter Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Anyone have a current contact email for Ian Bent please? 1
bones Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 ok so, just saying that 1 was to have an aircraft with a camitt engine, are jabiru parts the same/clone, ie. can the jabiru parts for all the engine be used in a camitt engine? what are the parts options? thanks
jetjr Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 In many cases yes, but not always a straight swap, just like Jabiru engines depending on the variant you may need to swap a set or pair There is a source for some CAE parts
waraton Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 This may be old news but great news for me. Camit Aero Engines UK established 2019. Camit aero engines | Aero engine overhaul | Camit and Jabiru Spares | Camit aero engine spares manufacture 1 1
tillmanr Posted September 14, 2020 Author Posted September 14, 2020 Thanks waraton. I am happy with the engine, which may outlast my service life but a backup is good to know of.
Kyle Communications Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 I thought it was the South Africans who were going to make the engines and bits but most of the engines and parts at the auction I am pretty sure went down south somewhere
Kenlsa Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Good work waraton. My gen 1 is able to use most of the CAMit stuff. Ken
waraton Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Good work waraton. My gen 1 is able to use most of the CAMit stuff. Ken Yep, from the website " All parts are also retro fit for the earlier generation Jabiru engines with little or no modification. " Will be a big help for many, not sure about pricing but hopefully volume will allow that to take care of itself. 1
