Hope this doesn't offend: I was once on a SAA Jo'berg-PER flight and heard the male flight attendant, definitely a bachelor if you see what I mean, say that SAA used to go to SYD "which was maaaarvellous but now we stop in Perth which is like (here he assumed tones of extreme contempt) Bloemfontein!"

so i gather your home town lacks somewhat in the gay nightlife dept!. Anyway, it's great to hear from you and safe flying.
