ave8rr Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks for the update Keith. What A/C Register will the aircraft operating under the ELAAA be using?
Keith Page Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks for the update Keith. What A/C Register will the aircraft operating under the ELAAA be using? We were doing so well, however the registration register has gone back to the drawing board. The change of CASA directors has given us more work however no one has ever drowned in their own sweat. as soon as there is a clear path ahead I will let everyone know. No one wants to step outside the square. KP. 1
Blueadventures Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks for the update Keith. What A/C Register will the aircraft operating under the ELAAA be using? Hi Mike It looks like initial rego starts then $220 every two years for CofA (may be certificate of airworthiness and processing of BFR is $220- I guess plus the instructor flight cost. Maybe not much cheaper than RAA in the end? Regards Mike

Will be Good to have some choice and MAY even have 750kg before RAAus. Cheers Mike 1
Super Cub Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 First I've heard of this. Is Casa likely to approve another organisation (other than RAAus) to administer LSA flying and maintenance in Aus. Are you definitely expecting approval in the future, or hoping you get approval. Interesting.

As we speak - the paper work is with CASA and is getting a favourable response. The other part of ELAAA we will be administering the small end of non commercial helicopters. KP

Keith Page Posted March 17, 2017 Author Posted March 17, 2017 Apologies if I've missed this already but are ELAAA going to cater for the needs of Microlights? Good Morning Dinga. The answer to your question. At the moment it is:- "No", as people do have a choice. There are two organisations administering Microlights:- *RAAus and HGFA. Regards, KP

Keith Page Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 A little bit of drum beating we are still working away developing ELAAA will be exciting times ahead -- all coming together slowly. Will keep every one informed as to our progress. KP 2
Yenn Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Slowly is the operative word. If you can get to Emu Park on 13 May, you could talk to Lee Ungerman who is the CASA rep for ultralights. He will be doing a presentation there from 0930hrs. Sadly it is doubtful that I can make it there.
Kyle Communications Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Speaking of the weight change If you go to https://www.casa.gov.au/rules-and-regulations/standard-page/rule-development-projects MS 99/04 - Increase in ultralight aeroplane maximum take-off weight limit This project is now closed it says and not active...so its either done and dusted as far as CASA is concerned and its a yes or someone is pissing in our pockets......what is the latest you know of with the weight increase application with CASA Mark 2
billwoodmason Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 What makes you think he is interested in anything the members of RAAus have to say. Slowly is the operative word. If you can get to Emu Park on 13 May, you could talk to Lee Ungerman who is the CASA rep for ultralights. He will be doing a presentation there from 0930hrs.
