I am a new member of this forum.

I am not currently a pilot, but am an EAA member. Attend EAA chapter 1041-Barnstormers, centered at Gettysburg, PA airport. I have a friend who is a missionary jungle pilot in Papua, New Guinea.

We are working on getting an experimental aircraft ready for use in training his local nationals there.

I have been interested in flying since I was 4; I am now 69.

By the way, we are looking for a Rotak 912 engine for a Zenith 701 aircraft we are fixing up.

I understand that flying in PNG can be quite challenging due to weather conditions and mountainous terrain, apart from it's many very basic airstrips.

The Zenith 701 has good short field performance, but could imagine there might be times when you wish you had a 914 up front like this one STOL CH 701 with Turbo Rotax 914 An extra few horses up front, could be useful when taking off at altitude in hot conditions.
