FlyingDelta Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Anyone attend Wisconsin Aviation out of Madison, WI? Looking for some feedback, as I'm getting interested in starting a career in flying. 1) Is this a good time to get into flying? Charter or Regional? What company hires beginners with minimum hours? 2) I'm not the best at math, is this something that will hurt me if I'm trying to get my private license and then onto something for charter or regional?
Yenn Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Don't know anything about Wisconsin, but the FAA has just issued a forecast for growth in aviation of all categories, about 3% pa from memory.
FlyingDelta Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 Thanks for the reply, but with the cost of flight schools, it seems like a lot of potential flyers might look into a different carrier. BTW, if anyone is in the Madison area, please let me know. I would be interested in flying.
rdarby Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Suggest you ask on r/flying on Reddit or Pprune, they have a largely American focus.
red750 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Hi FD, welcome to Rec Flying. This forum, while international in coverage, with a .com URL, is actually based in Australia. While most aviation knowledge is universal, things like flying schools etc. are regional. You may get more appropriate response reposting your query in the US/Canada forum on this site, which may be more frequently referenced by US members. 1
