Good to see they're still doing it, if you haven't seen their attempted takeoff - well, they did actually takeoff, so it wasn't an attempt - at Cant-ber-her 15 years ago you've gotta love the ATCO's humour!

Ah yes, the famous Vodka Burner video at Canberra.

 

I guess if the airstrip is there, why not use all of it. This UTair An-26 doesn't have a big deal of strip left either.

Dunno that I’d be in such a rush to pull the gear up - Keep the speed down and let some of the mud shake off first.

Piper built a prototype PA32-260 with IO-360 engines mounted on the wings. The trimotor aircraft was the proof-of-concept aircraft for the twin-engined, retractable-gear version of the Cherokee Six, the PA-34 Seneca.[
