Remerson Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hi All, Spent 6 years too long ago tootling around in an M20 Mooney, VH-ERL. Retired and thinking of making a comeback at a recreational level. 1
facthunter Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 You could perhaps do worse things. If you can't shake the addiction. It's a lot cheaper than the Mooney. A more basic GA plane is an option, perhaps. Nev
farri Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Retired and thinking of making a comeback at a recreational level. G`Day Remerson ........I`ve been a recreational pilot, since the early days of the Australian Ultralight Federation ( AUF) now Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus). What is it you want at a recreational level? Frank.
Yenn Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Welcome Remerson. Ive never flown a Mooney, but by all accounts they are fast and don't like grass fields. Most RAAus types are a lot slower and love the grass. Taildraggers especially. I would think there should be plenty of choice within an hour or so of Sydney. Enjoy it.
planedriver Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 but by all accounts they are fast and don't like grass. My son used to be a bit like that, but has now matured only a little bit, and drives a Nissan 180 imported drift-car, but due to marital responsibilities has given away the grass bit too! 1
Raytol Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Hi Remerson, Why not take a trip out to The Oaks airport near Camden, they have a very active school and a very well run club out there. 1
