Downunder Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Looks like it went in hard..... Nice aircraft And very sad ending for the young couple. RIP Balclutha couple die in microlight crash
facthunter Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 A very nice quality crafted aircraft and sad to know of the bad outcome. Nev
facthunter Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 It does but the same thing can happen with a car and a whole family, being realistic. It always seems more dramatic with a plane. Nev 1
Yuri Gagarin Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Strange, both the spinner, (and one blade) and the tail of the aircraft don't seam to be damaged. A very sad accident, my condolences to the family
Yenn Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 from what little we can see in the photos, it looks like the type of country you could do a good landing in. 1
BLA82 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Something tells me the mess the wreckage is in might have a lot to do with the rescue personnel aswell. In the video you can see the tail up in the air yet the photos it's on the ground and the wings are nicely placed alongside the fuse. RIP to those involved 1
aj_richo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Photos in the news article have a powerline across the crash site... could be significant 2 1
