Rotax 912 is the standard engine. I thought they were supposed to be bulletproof.

Sounds like it needs a new oil pressure sender fitted after it gets trailered home. 063_coffee.gif.b574a6f834090bf3f27c51bb81b045cf.gif

I had to read it twice as to whether the engine stopped or he just put it down because the gauge showed no pressure as well......

A mile or two from the field, I think I would have given the strip a shot if it was still running.....

Looking at the carpark footage there doesn't appear to be any oil leakage or staining.

Rotax may not be a proper engine in some peoples opinion, but they do have a large number of engines flying and are affordable, plus their safety record is not bad. In about 20 years flying at my home strip I can only remember one Rotax engine failure.

Correct Yenn

Over 50,000 912 variants world wide isn't a bad effort

Surprisingly it was a very nice day at Lethbridge. Even a Drifter was up to do circuits.
