rhtrudder Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Ended up removing the head, the seat had a small scourered section in line with the exhaust valve, mate ownes the local Honda dealership and one of his old school mechanics soon tidied it up , valve was okay, changed all the radiator hoses at he same time while I could get to the water pump, compressions now good , back flying , engine seems a bit smoother . 1
rhtrudder Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Thanks, in the end it was an easy fix, unsure what caused it in the first place with hydraulic lifters these engines shouldn't have many valve related problems.
