"This was my new trike - I was experiencing electrical issues - I had it repaired, the regulator was replaced - I was an hour into the flight back to home base when I lost the engine - the new regulator failed - I had my emergency landing area picked out, but the winds had changed and picked up - I knew instantly that I was not going to make it...........I now carry twice as much altitude as I think I need........Minimize risk and be prepared anyway.......Complacency is not your friend."
