kgwilson Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Well it's not a drone is it, or at least not my definition of a drone which normally equates to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)? It is a 76 motor single place multicopter. 2
Old Koreelah Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 A very nice way to fly. Low, slow, you can smell the flowers, almost touch the trees and stop almost anywhere.
KRviator Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 I want to see CASA's reaction to him trying to log multi-engine time. OR better yet, see the FOI try to fail an engine at V1! Still, not as cool as Colin Furze's hoverbike:
Guernsey Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 What is the definition of "Drone?" In my case it is the base note I play on my Didgeridoo. . Alan. 1 1
nomadpete Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I'm still confused by the thread title. "Manned Drone Flies" ? I've heard of drone bees. And we've got lotsa flies out west. But I've never heard of Drone Flies. 2
Deskpilot Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 OK guys, so I got the title wrong, still a terrific achievement and 'apparently' very easy to fly. There is a second 'on board' video on his page.
nomadpete Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Thanks for the link Desky. Interesting stuff, but it's still got a long way to go before I'll be trying this sort of flying. It shows that contrary to the beliefs of some cynical posters, the spirit of adventure (and experimentation) is alive and well. 1
