Well it's not a drone is it, or at least not my definition of a drone which normally equates to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)? It is a 76 motor single place multicopter.

I'm still confused by the thread title.

 

"Manned Drone Flies" ?

 

I've heard of drone bees.

 

And we've got lotsa flies out west.

 

But I've never heard of Drone Flies.

OK guys, so I got the title wrong, still a terrific achievement and 'apparently' very easy to fly. There is a second 'on board' video on his page.

Interesting stuff, but it's still got a long way to go before I'll be trying this sort of flying. It shows that contrary to the beliefs of some cynical posters, the spirit of adventure (and experimentation) is alive and well.
