Dennisroc Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I am a type 2 diabetic and have a Sport pilot license and own a Piper Cub I fly as a LSA. I enjoy flying my Cub a lot but would also like to fly other planes that are not LSA. So my question is has any type 2 diabetics passed a class 3 medical without a Special Issuance ( SI ) I would really like to get my private license but would hate to not pass the medical and lose my Sport pilot license. Anyone have like a pre medical exam to see if they would pass a class 3 ??? Thanks for any info :)
Jaba-who Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 You are probably better asking this on a Korean web forum. The rules are completely different in every country and this is mostly an Australian forum. Pilots don't have a 3 rd class medical here Australia. Here 3 rd class is for air traffic controllers. Here we have essentially 5 different types of " medical" and they are all different to medicals in say the USA. 1
