G'day guys and girls, we have just finished a factory assist Jabiru J430 in Bundaberg and will be flying it to its new home in Melbourne after the test hours are complete (hopefully in the next couple of days). We were wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a place to stop on the way home? We want to go further than half way and somewhere unique. Maybe an ALA between Dubbo and Deniliquin. We don't want to stay at a big town but a station or pub or somewhere a bit different with an airstrip and accomadation.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you're going a fair distance before stopping - just make sure (especially with low hours motor) that your engine doesn't run low on oil. :yuk:

just a thought......:)

G'day Darren,

We're planning on keeping it at Tooradin. I'm sure it will feel at home there amongst all the other Jabs down there.

Cheers, Nathan.

It will indeed be at home amongst the Jabs Nathan. Your shiny new machine will make Jabiru number 12 at the airfield.

Hi guys, thanks for the replys. We ended up leaving Bundaberg at around 11am (EST) and flew to Parkes to refuel, about a 5 hour flight with a 10 knot headwind most of the way at 8500ft. We then flew to Corowa on the Vic/NSW border and stayed the night. We departed Corowa at around 8.45am and flew direct to our aircraft's new home at Tooradin, again at 8500ft. A great introduction of what's to come.
