c722352 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Still waiting for last years precipitation certificate along with the 5 other people who flew with me last year. still I will be up. bet they sell a lot of tee shirts. cynical me.
farri Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 Last year, I wasn`t sent a certificate either, I did get one for the 2015 event,though....To me,certificate doesn`t matter, taking part and keeping the spirit of the event going, is what does!!!
Geoff13 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 There was a separate website that you had to go to to register for your certificate last year. My Granson and I have got both our certificates. This year he flys out of Brisbane to go home early Saturday morning so if he wants one this year we will have to try for a dawn flight.
flyerme Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Hi everyone. Yes very sorry About last years certificate stuff up. What happened was a new program was used which crashed . Over 3 months was taken to attempt to fix but couldn't be recovered.. This year a tested program has been put in place so everyone should get a certificate. In the case yours doesn't arrive PLEASE message me and I will sort it out ;) Australian WUFI CAPT. Jack Flyer Mean while here's my version of the WUFI theme song I just wanna Fly - WUFI Anthem 1
farri Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 I`ve already got several guys who want the back seat on Saturday, unfortunately, fair bit of smoke haze in our area so it won`t be as picturesque as it normally is, but for now, it`s still VMC, hope it stays that way. What`s it like in your area? Frank. 1 1

Blueadventures Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Flew the Skyranger Nynja for WUFI day this morning; sides opened up for the breeze. 1.1 hours around the local Marian / Pioneer Valley area. Accompanied in the air with a mate in his Drifter. Sweet conditions but hazy this time of year. Cheers and safe flights Mike 5

Geoff13 Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Well I have been grounded for 6 weeks. A minor medical issue which forced me to ground myself not only from flying but from working as well. My Grandson has been visiting for 2 weeks and he looks forward to flying with Pop when he comes to visit (he only comes up once or twice a year) but t wasn't to be this time. My doctor gave me the all clear 3 weeks ago but I still didn't drive for a further week and a certainly wasn't willing to take a pax up. Today being WUFI Day I decided to fly but only after my mate Jim a Senior RAAus instructor was available to come up with me. It was great to get back in the air and I spent a wonderful 1.5 hours poking holes in the sky. It is a privilege to be able to participate in this sport, and we should never take any of these privileges for granted. 3
