Well, Darren Chester has been dumped and Barnaby is taking the Infrastructure portfolio...which means aviation.

This is a great opportunity for you locals to do some lobbying right now on behalf of us fliers at the light end before CASA gets in his ear,

Barnaby is from Tamworth, Division of New England electorate, which is in NSW, but we could lobby him anyway I guess ...

Barnaby may be better than Chester, but that wouldn't make him good. Chester was a waste of space,as were all the other ministers dealing with CASA.

Don't get your hopes up. It's always worth a try BUT..

The Barnaby inspired/required changes aren't going down well.. There might be more important issues for THEM than RAAus/ GA matters. Ben at AOPA will have to start all over again.. Nev

I dont care..thats just all superflouis crap at everyone has to deal with...maybe not those specifics but we all have this stuff....we still go to work though and still do our jobs. He gets paid enough to be "under pressure" :)

Nats are extremely keen to see that landholders are paid top dollar for the inland rail.

Gina giving Barnaby a $40k cheque in the middle of the election campaign is her way of saying she cares and will always be there for Barnaby, she will never leave him.

Before assuming this is dependent on a one man band here, do some research, take a look at the scale of the Department.

If it wasn't a position of great influence HE wouldn't have wanted the change. No one has more power in the Coal ition than Bananaboi.. He is not a team worker.. Nev

Politics is a numbers game and a Gina has Barnaby's best interests at heart, I'm sure Barnaby is going to need a good lawyer to stop his wife and kids walking off with his estate.

As infrastructure minister I expect the railway that has been promised will be delivered by Barnaby

We just had the QLD election and they had people wearing shirts saying we don't care who you vote for as long as you put Pauline's party last.

Everybody hammer one theme. Take the entire FAA system.

The best AND safest in the world, WITH built in freedoms. DO NOT waste time nitpicking odd "little" Issues, go for the lot.

30 odd years ago both NZ and Aussie were looking to modernise. We have F----- around, NZ took FAA and changed in three months. Lots of forms/regs still had FAA in them. They were told to"read NZ" NZ has powered ahead, NO Australian crap about EVERY rule "has to be changed for Australian conditions" WHAT conditions?

We have the safest skies in the world

  1. Same size land mass,

  2. NO high lumps of rock to hit, (Kosciusko is a hill in Yankee parlance)

  3. No savage weather(highest percentage of CAVOK),

  4. Not even 30,000 total aircraft (US has over 60,000 homebuilts alone).

If the Dromedary's do not like it, instant retirement and recruit in USA - FAA for replacements. Cost savings in dept - about half staff not needed.

Dick missed his chance when over half Dept. heads voted against him. He should have said "I want your resignation letters NOW, 2IC's can take over". I think he was so sick of them he was glad for the excuse to get out.

No quarter should be given, we want FAA rules "IN TOTO"

Skidmore talked about it when he got in, Dromedary's stopped it, This bloke promised it too (See pdf uploaded) somewhere I have Skidmores too, but cannot find it now - anyway, read it and dream a little -

you're wasting your time, most pilots just happy to go with the flow, don't want to rock the boat, happy to pay a few dollars more not to have to think about the issues
