onetrack Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 It looks like these blokes were fairly lucky in that they came down in a very lightly vegetated area of the Goldfields. Pilot and passenger survive Goldfields plane crash Burra Rock Rd is actually well South of Boorabbin, and passes by Victoria Rocks, before it heads SW towards the old Hyden-Norseman Rd. There are big areas of light scrubby vegetation in this region - and some areas of fairly heavy trees. It appears fortunate they were able to pick a scrubby area for the landing. Good outcome, anyway.
