Guest CAVOK
G'day fellow aviators G’day fellow aviators CAVOK here. I obtained my PPL along time ago but have been grounded for many years due to GA costs and all of life’s bills and necessities that drain the bank account and keep you too busy. But as you know, when you’re hooked on flying, the hooks go deep! So this year I’ve commenced training RA-Aus style in a Gazelle – top aircraft to pilot. Going solo again was so exciting, and all the flying training has been enjoyable and heaps rewarding. This afternoon it was forced landing prac – just love the challenge and the experience I’ve gained. All set against the winter afternoon sun hanging over the picturesque Mt Macedon – beautiful! The Gazelle might be smaller and slower than the ‘tin cans’ I’ve flown before, but she handles delightfully and I really just want to fly as much as possible. I am really enjoying the study as well and want to keep working towards achieving a high level of flying ability, safety and airmanship. Am lucky to be at a great flying school with such experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Look forward to learning lots through this forum and contributing where I’m able. Guest MMax
Welcome Trevor, I have 21 hours in a Gazelle...nice aircraft. I have since moved onto a tailwheel aircraft....which is better again...! Enjoy your flying and have fun. regards Arthur
Guest Fred Bear
Welcome Trevor. Another convert from GA. I think alot of us have come from GA. Safely say that ultralights are half the price of GA (and a much more friendly and sociable mob). Let's hope it all stays this way. Enjoy the forums! :)
