Graham Pukallus Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Here is a small selection of photos taken Friday (practice day) and yesterday, at the Wanaka Airshow. This was truely a memorable experience, as an Airshow and a scenic holiday.

cscotthendry Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Commentator "Give him a hand..." For what? Wrecking his airplane? I know it's hard to see over the nose of a tail dragger after you're on the ground, but surely part of the approach checklist is "runway clear of obstacles"???
Graham Pukallus Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 Here is the Utube video of the incident.
facthunter Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 It's a great spectacle. (The event generally). Another example of the Kiwi's punching above their weight.. Nev
kgwilson Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I flew in to WOW in a C172 in 2000. It was a club trip & we stayed in Queenstown & there was a temp control set up with a temp VTC with reporting points etc. It's the only time I've been No 10 on final. 600 light aircraft flew in on the Saturday. The show was fantastic & the location spectacular. It was a real buzz flying in & feeling part of it all.
planedriver Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 So sorry that i missed it, as my partner and I were in Queenstown and nearby Arrowtown only two weeks ago. Next time, i'll pick the dates we travel.. Grrrr!
