Keepit10
I'm interested in building a Spratt 103, see www.spratt103.com. I like to hear from anyone with specific information about it's flight qualities, based on the actual experience of flying one or observing its flight. About 200 plans have been sold world wide and as it isn't a 10 year build, surely some are now flying.
Downunder
No info sorry, but WOW, what an interesting design. No control surfaces but the wing is split and left and right sides pivot up and down independently for control? Sounds simple....
phonetic
In Au we dont need to follow FAA part 103, our 95.10 is 300kgs or 660lbs gross makes part FAA103 254lbs empty weight rather pointless with our 95.10 ??
pluessy
95.10 has 2 criteria: MTOW 300kg or less, max 30kg/m2 wing loading. The Spratt 103 meets both (250kg MTOW, 10m2 wing area). Use a Briggs 630cm2 (24-30hp redrive) or 810cm2 engine (28-30hp direct drive) and go for it.
