winsor68 Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Mr Trumpet would love that. A Texas company outsourcing their kits to Mexico. Looks like they do awesome work.
bexrbetter Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 A Texas company outsourcing their kits to Mexico. You know Vans 'quick build' kits are built in the Phillipines
bexrbetter Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 De Walt tools are now built in Mexico too. DeWalt tools are number Juan!
Marty_d Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 DeWalt tools are number Juan! Yup, they save you from Manuel Labour.
Pilot Pete Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 You know Vans 'quick build' kits are built in the Phillipines And that the XPB is built in China
ClintonB Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Imagine. back in the good old days, we could have been workers going to work, building things with our own hands just like that in our own country.
Guest Guest Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Cost, everything these days boils down to cost. Most of Western society simply costs too much, to be competitive manufactures need to use ' fruit picking' labour.
Marty_d Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Imagine. back in the good old days, we could have been workers going to work, building things with our own hands just like that in our own country. As long as companies want to pay their workers a fair wage that keeps up with cost of living, we still could.
Guest Guest Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 As long as companies want to pay their workers a fair wage that keeps up with cost of living, we still could. Those 'fair wages' need to be passed on to the end user. That's why Australia is fkcued, we have no meaningful manufacturing as it's cheaper to import or use cheap manufacturing processes outside of our shores. My Nephew has a unique organic clothing business, everything is made OS, he couldn't turn a dollar using home grown labor, he has to feed his family, he had no choice!
Hargraves Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Don,t forget special thanks to, Mr Macro Economic Reform for the destruction of our manufacturing base, our trade unions and the inevitable introduction of the gst to replace the income tax from lost jobs as a result. Appologies for the drift but it still burns eh. Cheers
