NoelB Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 While the article in the link refers to the writer's own aircraft type, I found this to be very informative.

I found this article by an experienced pilot to be thought provoking as well as entertaining. I hope we never have to get our feet wet!
Dave English Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Fantastic article, very well thought out and informative. I wouldnt like to encourage too many to do a 45 degree turn at 50 knots close to the ground. This is precisely the sort of maneuver that kills pilots. You might get away with it if you have practised it numerous times, but the margin for error is miniscule.
