In my case the LAME is out of the equation. The C150 needs the annual/100hr that is a LAME exercise.

The C150s tend to need lots of corrosion and fatigue maintenance and rectification. Plus they usually have an old engine with an old prop etc.

 

Our aero club has a fleet of C150s and they are very costly on maintenance and the maintenance hours are a function of their age.

 

But to play devils advocate the little jab they had was always in the fix-it shop too. But that's not always the case. I think that was that particular aircraft.

Jaba. Are your C150s expensive because they need a lot of maintenance or do they get a lot of maintenance to cover someones arrs.

If they're corroding, it's probably to ensure there's enough aluminium left to cover their arrs.
