Astroguy Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 The largest airshow.....skip the first 7 minutes of me gushing to get to some images that give a feel for the event 1
mAgNeToDrOp Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I love how you can mingle and walk up directly to the aircraft... Meanwhile in Australia, actual photo of CASA installing "safety" barriers at an airshow..
djpacro Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Plus, only small cones on the ground to separate the flight line from the crowd. I observed one eager person walk past and he was politely told what the cones meant. North side of the field I could walk through an unguarded gate to airside for the shuttle bus. 1
tillmanr Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 A shot of the central display area taken from a Bell47. There was reportedly 600,000 visitors over the week and over 10,000 visiting aircraft. As mentioned above, no wire or barriers but polite requests. Maybe the crowd is more polite and well behaved than Australian crowds. A great time again. 2
