Excellent site. It certainly gives you an insight into the various controls/instrumentation.

My daughter and son-in-law recently gave me a great book titled "In the Cockpit". A whole stack of photographs of a whole range of aircraft from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

The worst cockpit I've seen is the Caravell's. Instruments for EVERYTHING. After that time, lights took over. You'd need a video camera to capture a Caravell cockpit.

The Viscount's wasn't a thing of beauty either... pho

The most complex I've seen is the B52 at Darwin. It's most disappointing feature was the bomb bay door control. A common toggle switch! I'd have thought it would be a beaut big handle.

We couldn't take photos from the seats that could be stitched together satisfactorily because we couldn't get far enough away.

I posted this elsewhere before discovering this thread so apologies for double posting. This is a 360 degree view of the A380 cockpit. Lots of switches, buttons, etc.

Warning: It is fairly large so may take some time to load over slower connections.
