Deskpilot Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I like it. Time will tell if anything comes of it.
Deskpilot Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 To what are you referring Birdseye. Perhaps you've posted on the wrong page.
Birdseye Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 I was referring to an accidental dropping of the tubular container instead of the landing gear.
turboplanner Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 I'm working on one which attaches wings to the airport departure lounge and flies off with it; but it also is just in the design stage. For this to be of any use at all, there has to be a very substantial benefit to pay for the extra weight from the extra structure. 1
pmccarthy Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 People wouldn’t need to check in their bags. They could just have them in the lounge on a trolley.
Marty_d Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 You'd want to hope the locking clamps held in rough weather.
bexrbetter Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 So, which uniquely original combo name are they going to call it: "Plain" or a "Trane"?
facthunter Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 So you are stuck in the container for much longer instead of walking and peeing etc occasionally What about the quality of the experience? this type of "THING means YOU compromise both vehicles. Just speed up the train and make it comfortable and forget the wing bit (with the inevitable and costly and growing delays with the airfields). Nev
