red750 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Photos of aircraft in a street parade in Montevideo Uruguay (date unknown) From Vintage Bonanzas FB group page. 1
silvercity Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Is that 1947 along the bottom of the middle photo?
planedriver Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Looks to me like the lead aircraft in top photo might be a Globe Swift? Quite a distinctive air intake. . 1 1

apm Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Same thing happened in Canberra in the 1970's......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrn3hHHnbT4 Did they have to taxi all the way from & to the airport, or could they take off from the street? Would be a little hard to get permission these days I reckon. BTW. welcome & congratulation on your 1st post.

SSCBD Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 All those people close to spinning props and nary a fence in sight! A wonder anyone survived! Amazing when people had common sense, way back when. 1
Downunder Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 All those people close to spinning props and nary a fence in sight! A wonder anyone survived! Amazing! From our "modern" society perspective that people didn't need to be saved from themselves back then. They had the common sense to see the risk, stay out of the way and hold their childrens hands tightly. Goes to prove, in some regards, our current multi billion dollar safety industries are a just there for the money.... 3 1
pylon500 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Some one was having fun tying a Fuji up in knots. Possibly this one?
