Hiya!

 

I found this forum while Googling info about Gyrocopters. I'm keen to do training and I see there's an airport at Lake Macquarie (only a couple of hours drive away) and will be looking into doing a course there starting in about a month.

 

Anyone going to the Cessnock air show in a couple weeks?

 

I was originally going to look at microlights or ultralights but I like the idea of Gyros.

 

I started training for my pilot's license about 20 years ago but ran out of time and money.

 

A couple of years ago I went on a joyflight in a Jabiru down in Victoria and got to fly for a while.

 

Anyone else in this area nearby?

I believe that Taree Aero club have a BBQ from time to time. They have flight training in Cessna 172's.

 

If you're interested in lighter flying, send a PM (start conversation) with forum member Pylon500. I think he does training at Taree in recreational aircraft (ultralights, but not gyros)
