. DC-3's are  an 85 year old plane these days. Never built to last that long, but do it better than most.  One flew over my place today going  north west. Not a lot of revs on so maybe they wanted to save  fuel. Only guessing, but I would say it had the "Wright" motors from the sound of it..  Nev

That'd be VH-ABR "Kanana" which was out and about today with a return trip to Bendigo. An original DC-3 (not C-47 conversion) with a pair of Wright Cyclones. One of the stars of the Lilydale airshow recently.

Interestingly, based at Tullamarine YMML, not YMEN.
