spacesailor
I googl'd "Sydney radio frequencies", And it was in the list. " Sydney (Kingsford-Smith) International Airport (YSSY) Frequency Type Description 126.25000 F Sydney C-ATIS 126.50000 BM Sydney Ground Control - West of Rwy 16R/34L 127.60000 BM Sydney Tower (standby backup) 128.30000 BM Sydney Approach - between 40nm and 10nm South & West Just a short list, as googled. spacesailor
Okihara
The ERSA is your best friend if you need YSSY frequencies.
Yenn
Automated Terminal information Service or something similar. It will give you wind velocity , active runway etc.
turboplanner
ATIS is the terminal information as others have said, and it looks like someone has set the radio up with a short cut for 126.25 Silly thing to do because if you are moving around the ATIS for another location will usually be different. e.g. if you flew from that location to Moorabbin and broadcast on 126.25, you'd get nothing because the Moorabbin ATIS frequency is 120.9 Getting your en route information right is another reason for taking the time to do a flight plan. Tinkicka
C-ATIS - Computerised Automatic Terminal Information Service (synthesised voice) D-ATIS - Digital/Digitised Automatic Terminal Information Service (transmitted via digital pathway usually ACARS) ACARS - Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System Hope this helps, Tinkicka
