ALBURY tower hours

Hi All.

 

 

 

This will hopefully be the last update in regard to the amended tower hours.

 

 

 

Effective from this Saturday 2nd March, our Saturday hours will be 0815 - 1500(local).

 

 

 

Effective from this Sunday 3rd March, we will not be opening on Sundays.

 

 

 

Effective from 4th March, Monday to Friday hours will be 0815 - 1830 (local).

So it's 100% safe for an RAAus plane to be number 12 in the circuit at 08:14am, but not alone in the circuit at 08:16am.

Ok good news for me as an RA-Aus pilot.  Can you indicate what is behind these reduced hours?  Less RPT? Funding cuts? Lack of need/rationalisation?

I believe it’s a restructure , I can tell you it working well , I am positive about this change , I flew in late Saturday arvo and it was working well being pilot operated.
