rideandfly Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 We attended first day of the Sport Aviation Expo held during January at Sebring, Florida this year. In addition to seeing all the fine airplanes, we like to watch practice sessions on the Sebring race track next to the airport, too. Like always I take too many photos! 1
rideandfly Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 buy anything? No, did not buy anything this visit. We were impressed with the Zenith display and folks building parts of their kits with Zenith folks supervising. We plan to visit Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina next month, Thunderbirds will be performing. Will post plenty of photos in the military section. https://www.wingsoverwayneairshow.com/
rideandfly Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 That's a lot of Aussie pesos for the j230. That's a well equipped 2009 J230-SP for $76,500 US.
BackcountryAeropup Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 They had a Aeromomentum firewall forward package at Avalon. They look to be quite an impressive auto conversion. 1
Downunder Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 They had a Aeromomentum firewall forward package at Avalon. They look to be quite an impressive auto conversion. They seem to be marketing pretty hard now. I like the engines. They really need to hand a few engines out to get some "real world" time and reliability reports on them....... 1
fly_tornado Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Aeromomentum have been selling those engines in the swamp boat market for a decade, they seem pretty confident of the engine's reliability. 1

EVERY manufacturer is confident in they engine THEY sell aren't they? What often lacks, is the credibility seen through the eyes of the buying public. Eggenfeller was confident in those Subaru's he used to sell too....

All ? These auto engines that Aeromomentum use have been produced for less than ten years and probably will not be around in ten years time, meanwhile the more expensive rotax 912 has just had it's 25th birthday.
