Methusala Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 I heard a rumor last week that they may be considering adding an administrative charge to CFI's lodging BFR results. Has anyone any knowledge of this?
Downunder Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 I know they charge $22 for an endorsement. Can't remember if I was charged that for my last BFR...
Bruce Tuncks Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 There are 2 ways to make money. The first way is to do something nice for people and they pay you. The second way is to demand the money with menaces. This is very effective, just ask the tax man and his minions. 3 1

facthunter Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 IF you are paying tax you must be getting some money (except for the GST) so be grateful for small mercies. ( Like it COULD be worse.) Nev 2

Nev Yes, I always wonder why people complain about having a big income tax bill. I wish my tax bill was $1m every year! 1
Litespeed Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I would love to pay 50 cents in the dollar for $20 million income. But alas my income doesn't even come near paying tax. Bugger
Downunder Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Yes, I always wonder why people complain about having a big income tax bill. I wish my tax bill was $1m every year! The irony is that if you had a potential tax bill reaching that amount you could pay a couple of accountants 100 grand to manipulate and "legally" rort the system so you paid no tax at all... (and that 100 G would be deductable as well) The saying "The rich get richer" is very true....
Litespeed Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Just remember expecting the rich to pay a Fair share is "the politics of envy". Just ask Scomo, we can afford $50 billion for the really well off to have tax cuts. But we can't afford to raise unemployment benefits so the jobless can actually eat food and have a bed to sleep on. That would cost $3 billion. That would be sheer socialism. Oh but we can pay job search providers more than the Newstart payment for every unemployed they see each fortnight for 30 mins. All while removing large numbers from the disability pension and saying they are capable of work by changing the rules. Presto the disabled have a miracle cure and the government saves $2oo a week, so they can now pay a job provider $250 a week to manage your job search. Absolute brilliance and since the NDIS saved money by refusing to process claims or just by changing the criteria for need. They have extra money for more tax cuts to the rich. Absolute genius. 2 1
Roundsounds Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Why do RAAus need to know you’ve completed a flight review? It’s the responsibility of the pilot /and or aircraft operator if the pilot is renting. 2 1 1

Are we off topic yet? I think I’m confused.
