Definately wouldn't make it that far.

These days I have one in the house as opposed to running down to the bottom of the back yard.

Life is sometimes full of luxuries, from what we had years ago.

The redback spiders suffer from progress. Running hot water is the dividing line and we just don't appreciate it. (till it's gone). Mine blew up in big way (after 28 years) so did the one on the farm  so I understand hardship. , Geez are we are spoiled?  .Nev

Yep, never before have so many had it so good, yet the the average millenial or genZ will tell you this is the worst time ever to be alive and everyone else has had it better than them.

Well I'll start with exposing myself... 74 years old and went solo in 1969. These days, I find the Libelle is hard work on hot days, and the Jabiru is just too easy to fly instead. So I am thinking that retiring from gliding will happen in a couple of years. I have no idea when retirement from Jabiru flying will happen, maybe 5 years?

Here's a confession... I don't feel old and at the club, there are quite a few my age or even older around, and on this forum too I suspect.

I'm glad you didn't post a photograph.

Might win in the best dried arrangement class, at the Country Women's  Gala day, Brucey Boy. Sorry PAL I couldn't help it. A confession is OK. It's been used for years by the most experienced operators.  They say you are only as old as the person you are feeling.  Nev

I often feel like a 20 year old but I have yet to find a 20 year old that feels like me.

Somebody a while back said they felt like an idiot and I said I'm sure I can find one easily.

I guess, You feel like you so where does that leave you?  At least you are dealing with a better class of person. Nev

Manufactured during the war doesn't make you anything specifically but does allude to your parents being optimistic, silly, or careless. Nev

My mum told me a number of times that I wouldn’t have happened except “your father came home on leave feeling like that”!

Does wonders for self-esteem...

Whether it's lust  or any of the other ways  you are just as well produced biologically. Self esteem can be a delicate creature. None of this can be blamed on you.  Nev

Yep, I was born after Hiroshima and before Nagasaki. My mother was smart enough to have been a court stenographer and yet so ignorant about the war that she had no idea of who the SS were. I think she thought it her duty to have babies.

They were indoctrinated differently to how we are now.. Most babies are still made the same way. Knowing what causes it helps.,if you want to plan your future and that of those who will say "I didn't ask to be born" which IS a true statement of fact.  Nev

Ladies and gentleman, I've found another 116 year old. Happened to put the mouse pointer on the avatar of Student Pilot and it shows 116, like TP did. The popup wont stay there for me to take a screen snip.
