Departing for the Gold Coast tomorrow morning on a Jetstar A320 (yes snapped up those cheap fares and why not). Story and pics to come on return. Will be a 0630 departure so there should be some good shots to enter into the Feb comp!! Have a good weekend all.

Ok all. Well we are back.Just flew in a few hrs ago.The 'stinkin' Sydney' (as I call it) reality is back I would stay up there for months if I had it my way. A wonderful place and a lively place that never sleeps. Anyway...took off from Sydney Friday morning onboard Jetstar flight JQ 176 @ 0630. Reg VH-JQX. Departed RWY 25 at Sydney this time (a rare event for me) tracking over the Southern suburbs before commencing a series of turns to the North. Landed Sothbound on RWY 17 @ Coolangatta. Had an absolute ball up at Surfers Paradise with and 8km or so walk on Friday (I still cannot walk today). Returned this morning on JQ171 Departing Coolangatta at 0620 on Reg VH-VQV (again departing to the South on RWY 17). A little bumpy on the way back. Cloud most of the way before clearing about Muswellbrook. Overflew the Mooney Mooney Bridge and Hawkesbury River Bridges. A left hand turn over the Sydney CBD before a landing on RWY 34R at Sydney. For those of you wanting to go up there soon I recommend staying on a high floor apartment at Surfers Paradise facing the beach. We were on the 28th floor this time with aircraft flying below our level! Take your binos and scanners! And now for some pics. Enjoy!

It's good sitting up the back. That door is very close. A little more room than the Jab here on this A320.
