Studentbiggles Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Hi Fellow Aivators, Of late I've been doing/trying to locate an airstrip on a privately owned property in the Dunkeld (Vic) region to no avail. What I'm wanting to know did any of the flyers here on this site hangar their A/C on this property? Sorry guys/gals don't know the name of the property but I believe that a Squirrel Chopper was hangared there to do "Fire Spotting" for the CFA, also large "Heavey Metal" A/C flew in quite regularly. The property was sold June/July of this year. As Always.................Fly and Keep safe...................................Alley

billwoodmason Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Hi Studentbiggles, in the AOPA national airfield directory I found an entry for Dunkeld in the name of J.Maconachie of "Meadow Bank" at 37 38'S 142 26'E. I hope this helps. Cheers, Billwoodmason.
Studentbiggles Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Thanks Camel and Bill for your info on the Airfields' but I had checked those out via AOPA but those runways are way too short for what was landed on them. Cheers.....................Alley
